About Heather Cavalieri
Heather Cavalieri is an Emmaus, Pennsylvania based artist known for her works on paper in which she utilizes collaged paper elements or sewn thread as a mark-making medium. In her work, Cavalieri explores themes of repetition and simplicity.
Cavalieri has a degree in psychology from La Roche College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Craft with a concentration in fibers from Oregon College of Art & Craft (OCAC) in Portland, Oregon. She was the recipient of the 2002 Jean Vollum Fibers Scholarship as well as the 2003 Boekelheide and Brannon Award.
Along with several solo exhibitions, Cavalieri’s work has been selected for group shows at Millersville University’s Sykes Gallery in Millersville, Pennsylvania, Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts + Sciences in Loveladies, New Jersey, Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and The State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania among others. Her art also resides in private collections throughout the United States.
